Passionate about teaching, Kim has consistently taught private lessons for over 15 years, working with children through adults. Her diverse educational experience ranges from one-on-one instruction to leading large ensemble rehearsals, and she is frequently sought out for the instruction of flutists. Kim has collaborated with the Manhattan School of Music Outreach and Distance Learning programs, where she has taught students in NYC and across the country.
“I started taking flute lessons with Kim after taking a forty-year break from flute playing. I was incredibly surprised, that with Kim’s patient and insightful help, I was back to playing the flute in a few short weeks. Kim has so much to offer. She is not only an extremely accomplished flutist, but she has a very clear way of describing techniques to improve sound, how to make the most out of practice sessions, and new concepts. She is extremely supportive and has encouraged me to tackle pieces that provide a challenge and opportunities for growth. I feel lucky to have found her!” -Carol
